Telkom's expansion into the Malaysian Market

Pakar Iklan Strengthen its positioning on a global scale, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) is planning to expand their business into a regional level or Southeast Asia. This business development is part of a big plan Telkom International.

"International Telkom's business units have a roadmap to develop the business into a regional level. But, still limited to planning, there has been no further developments," said Vice President of Public and Marketing Communication Telkom, Eddy Kurnia VIVAnews when contacted in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 27, 2010.

As a first step, in the Southeast Asian regional, Telkom Indonesia is likely to expand the telecommunications business expansion with the Malaysian market first. This is due to the labor market of Indonesia (TKI) that was very big in Malaysia.

According to him, if the company is able to embrace the player to drive traffic to Malaysia, Indonesia, of course very beneficial, both in rates and network capacity.

Just for information, in Malaysia there are two big players, namely Telekom Malaysia and Maxis. Both operators are in fact already played in Indonesia via XL Axiata (TM) and Natrindo Phones (NTS) in the Axis.

However, Eddy Kurnia explained, the expansion is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. "It takes time. It's not easy to expand to a regional scale. There are many considerations that companies need to think about. For example, regulation of, preparedness resources, and others," he said
