The key difference is that the N97 has 32GB of internal memory whereas the N97 mini only has 8GB of internal memory. There is also a secondary difference in that the N97 has UPnP support while the N97 mini does not have UPnP support for the WiFi.
All the other specifications for both devices are pretty similar, so it does come down to whether it is worth the extra RM100 for an extra 24GBs of memory plus UPnP support for the WiFi. A 16GB microSD card is around RM150 at the time of writing, so we would have to say that it is well worth the extra RM100 to have an extra 24GBs of storage in the phone.
